Young MJ had already scored 63 in the playoffs the year before, but here, in his 3rd pro year at age 23, he scored 58 for his regular season high at the time. MJ broke Chet Walker's Bull's record which was at 56. Going 16-25 and 26-27 from the ft line, the ending stamps it all: "And it came in spectacular Michael Jordan fashion - foul, hang-time, reverse - all of it".

pau gasol 24 pts 12 rebounds vs nets 2008 first game as a laker
great great team game , every player scored except for ronny turiaf who only had 1 shot attempt. the nets are not a great team but the lakers shared the ball from the beginning , kobe did not take a shot in the first 6 minutes of the game , he was trying to get gasol in a rythm and he did . lakers passed the ball very well . it was kinda close game in the first half , but in the second half it was all lakers and gasol. kobe bryant did not shoot the ball well , because he dislocated a finger in his right hand, he got in the game but the injury affected his shot , he was icing his finger during every timeout and every rest. future is looking so bright for the lakers , when we get ariza abd bynum and chris mihm , lakers look to be as the best team in the western comference on papers . lakers fans , we just have to be optimistic and hopefully we bring the parade back to LA !!

Michael Jordan v New Jersey Nets 2001
Pre-season games aren't usually memorable. However, on 20 October 2001 a pre-season game turned into a performance for the ages.
In a game where he wore Retro Air Jordan 3's, MJ played like it was 1988 scoring 41 points on 15-24 shooting. He scored 16 points in a six minute stretch in the 3rd quarter, which cut a 19 point New Jersey lead to 2. He also got his first dunk since coming back from his second retirement.
You can see Jordan dominating current NBA stars like Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson. It makes you wonder, if Jordan did this at age 38 (almost 39), can you imagine what he would do in the NBA today if he was 25?
