The word occult comes from the Latin word occultus referring to "knowledge of the hidden" The name also extends to a large body of literature and spiritual philosophy. 'Trauma Pill' in recent time scientist have worked and are currently working on a so called "Trauma Pill" scientists are working on a pill that, when given after a traumatic event, may make the resulting memories less painful and intense. Some doctors have an even more ambitious goals. They are deliberately triggering very old bad memories and then giving the pill to completely erase them. In the hands of the wrong people this may be a very dangerous tool to have.
