SustainabilitySchool.org St Patrick's Day March
Larry's Beans, an aggressively and exuberantly sustainable 100% Fair Trade, Shade Grown Organic coffee company that sponsors http://www.sustainablityschool.org as part its web offerings got out the word on green in the Raleigh, St. Patrick's Day parade (which actually one of the country's biggest St. Paddy Day parades). The company marched around it's veggie delivery bus (running on straight veggie oil) with a 20 foot sustainability banner and an eclectic crew of costumed musicians, jugglers, dancers and chanters (all wearing clover-leaf buttons that said KISS ME I RECYCLE).
Other sustainable goings-on at Larry's include operating Raleigh's only distribution point for Biodiesel 100 (brewed locally at the legendary biopowerhouse Piedmont Biofuels); a passive solar warehouse with a gray water system underway; and a diesel generator running on Bio100.
