Zachary Lumbar Puncture with intrathecal chemo
This is Zachary in late July 2007 at NYU Medical Center. Zachary has leukemia. Treatment for leukemia, for boys lasts three and a half years. It consists of intravenous and intrathecal chemotherapy, steroids, antibiotics and daily oral chemotherapy. Zachary was three and a half when he was diagnosed. He is now 5. His treatment will continue until he is 7. Zachary is my hero. Please support the "Conquer Childhood Cancer Act" by writing to your representatives. In doing so you are honoring thousands of children, like my son, who are literally fighting for their lives. Childhood cancer survival rates must improve. One child lost is too many. Thank you.
