Rail Fans Be Careful
Here is a clip showing one of the hazards to be weary of when trying to capture shots of trains. My clips are usually shot while I am driving as paces. This time I chose to hope out and take some stills and got a surprise when I did. The black car full of gravel was dropping gravel from two holes as it went along. The slow motion captures the hail of gravel that stirred up as it went by. Watch the wheels and hear the popping of the gravel that got crunched and shot out. This could really be tough on the camera to say the least. So be careful as this would even be trouble at crossing gates.

Experience Wolsztyn, Part 1/6: Introduction
An introduction, especially for my fellow American railfans, to the steam depot at Wolsztyn Poland. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only place in the western world where you can still see big steam in regular service on a major standard gauge railroad system. It is also the only place I know of that offers a carefully supervised hands-on program of steam locomotive operation for railfans. My son and I took advantage of that opportunity in July 2003, and in this Experience Wolsztyn series it is my pleasure to share that week with you.

(Sorry, no trypod.) HorseShoe Curve, Altoona,PA May 1995.
In this video clip...4 SD80's locomotives on this BAD A@@ very long coal train going down-grade. 2 head SD80's and 2 SD80's in the middle of coal train. Alot of railfans was waiting for this train during the day, but it got held up in Johnstown for 4 hrs. When the train arrived most of the railfans waiting for this coal train had left the area.
Note: After uploading the first 3 videos about 4 months ago My capture device broke down. Been tight on money since then. Sorry for the delay, now I got a new capture device and will upload more trains from this May 1995 video I have.

On Sunday July 6 we ran an excursion train out to Konotop and enjoyed a Polish sausage cookout.

Ol49 111 was used for passenger service the week we were there, and the #69 was fired up on Thursday to haul a special excursion train from Poznan on July 12.

During the week we were there, Pt47 112 kept busy working the yard and hauling freight cars to various points in the network.
