This is a open air hot spring in secluded Matsunoyama onsen, Japan.
This one was located on the roof of a hotel. Sometimes the springs lay directly on the riverbed and the feeling of Nature is much stronger. But they are covered :(

my visit to yomogihara onsen
this place is only a 25 minute drive away from nagaoka station, but once you're there, youd never realize how close you really are as this place feels far away from the rest of the world.

薬師湯
無色透明の源泉「荒湯」の近くにある薬師湯は、石鹸の泡立ちもよく、また、刺激も少ないのが特徴です。薬師湯は、入浴後も肌がすべすべでさっぱりとしています。
木造一部鉄筋コンクリート2階建て延床面積約９７０平方メートル、瓦葺屋根の上には薬師堂風の望楼がのり、正面玄関の唐門がひときわ目を引きます。
１階には男女主浴室のほか、露天風呂やサウナ、介助風呂、２階には休憩室もあり、源泉かけ流しの天然温泉の温もりを十分に味わうことが出来ます。敷地内には50台分の駐車場を設け、隣接の地域交流広場では散策やイベント、又名物の温泉たまごを体験することも出来ます。
