ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
Sūhī mehlā 5.
Soohee, Fifth Mehl:
ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਗੁਰ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
Ḏarsan ḏėkẖ jīvā gur ṯėrā.
Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, I live.
ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮੁ ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੧॥
Pūran karam hoė parabẖ mėrā. ||1||
My karma is perfect, O my God. ||1||
ਇਹ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਸੁਣਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
Ih bėnanṯī suṇ parabẖ mėrė.
Please, listen to this prayer, O my God.
ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਅਪਣੇ ਚੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Ḏeh nām kar apṇė cẖėrė. ||1|| rahāo.
Please bless me with Your Name, and make me Your chaylaa, Your disciple. ||1||Pause||
ਅਪਣੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਰਾਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਤੇ ॥
Apṇī saraṇ rākẖ parabẖ ḏāṯė.
Please keep me under Your Protection, O God, O Great Giver.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੨॥
Gur parsāḏ kinai virlai jāṯė. ||2||
By Guru's Grace, a few people understand this. ||2||
ਸੁਨਹੁ ਬਿਨਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤਾ ॥
Sunhu bino parabẖ mėrė mīṯā.
Please hear my prayer, O God, my Friend.
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਵਸਹਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਚੀਤਾ ॥੩॥
Cẖaraṇ kamal vaseh mėrai cẖīṯā. ||3||
May Your Lotus Feet abide within my consciousness. ||3||
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਏਕ ਕਰੈ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
Nānak ėk karai arḏās.
Nanak makes one prayer:
ਵਿਸਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਿ ॥੪॥੧੮॥੨੪॥
visar nāhī pūran guṇṯās. ||4||18||24||
may I never forget You, O perfect treasure of virtue. ||4||18||24||
