To Protect & Serve: UC Santa Cruz Police Brutality
May 2005:
UC Santa Cruz students stand in solidarity with campus workers and fight back against the UC regents with something we called "Tent University:" A student run university in which a camp of tents are set up in front of the school where classes are to be taught instead of the normal classrom. This was broken up one night by Chancelor Denton calling in Berkeley Police forces to invade Tent U, ripping down the tents and violently tearing apart the students. This is a genuine showing of Student Power.
I am not the one who put this video together nor do I know who to credit for this project. This was a video passed on by other UCSC students.

UCSC Practical Activism 2pac Changes Video
This is a music video for the Practical Activism Conference. Every Fall roughly 300 plus people show up to voice their concerns for issues around the world as well as at home. There is first a keynote speaker, then concurrent workshops that people can go into to get more information and resources to make a difference.

From beneath the redwoods at UC Santa Cruz, anchor Linda Schacht hosts the spring edition of UCTV's premiere magazine program "State of Minds."
