YouTube - You Get to Participate
I've decided to do weekly topic choices for my videos in '09. Also, I will be replacing my video camera, for those of you who do not know. I will be using this for personal videos, but also for YouTube from time to time. As such I'd like to let my subscribers participate and give their input as to what video camera I should look at. I plan to ask for this for my birthday, possibly. I am primarily interested in HDD and Flash media formats. Be aware that I'm leaning towards hard drives because of their internal memory offerings. All input ON THE SUBJECT MATTER is welcome.

Idea - Why Doesn't Apple Make their Own Camera?
To avoid confusion: THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL PRODUCT - THIS IS JUST AN IDEA I HAVE FOR ONE! Apple has already dominated the music space with the iPod, and is providing healthy competition for Microsoft with their Exchange support for the iPhone. They have a real stake in the Graphic Design/Video Production field, so why not create an "iCam" of sorts? What I'm thinking is top-central slot loading mini DVD drive and the same 128 GB Flash Drive that is used in the new MacBook and MacBook Air. Some points I forgot in the video: In addition to the hardware, Apple should integrate iMovie onboard so you can do editing without your computer. I know some cameras already offer this, but if we give the camera OS X, we could squeeze full iMovie features into a camera interface - and don't forget the multi-touch. Another thing I have in mind is that you'd have to run your footage through iMovie BEFORE burning, even if you don't intend on doing anything to it, because it would ready your footage for TV & computer viewing. Again, this is NOT in existence, this is just an idea i have.

CDMA versus GSM
What is the difference between GSM and CDMA? Without getting into the technical nitty gritty, I explain it from a consumer standpoint and point out the benefits of the SIM card that is only available on GSM phones and carriers, here in the U.S. those are AT&T (formerly Cingular) and T-Mobile.

Windows 7
Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and guess what comes next? Windows 7. No, it's not a code name. That is the production name for the next version of Windows, which is not even a name, it is a number. Windows 7 is going to be the successor to Vista. eeePC versus MacBook Air
Does the Asus eeePC 1000 compare favorably with a MacBook Air? Yes it does, and if you are willing to sacrifice some things, and gain other things, you save between $2,500-$3,000 on your purchase of an eeePC than you would if you bought a MacBook Air. I created a comparison chart of both systems in NeoOffice Spreadsheet (the Mac-native version of OpenOffice Spreadsheet) and found out some interesting things that I'd like you to be aware of.
