Only in the U.S. Army would it award its men medals for supplying them defective Stryker wheeled trucks that constantly get stuck in the mud. (Well come to think of it the USMC hands-out "combat action ribbons" to its wheeled LAV victims)

Maybe awards will be given for Soldiers struggling over guns that jam and helicopters in dark green camouflage over blue sky and tan Iraq getting shot down, too? If you or I drove to East LA in a wheeled SUV and got it stuck in some mud and some gang bangers starting "busting some caps" towards us, should we get a medal, too for our stupidity? Would this qualify us for a "combat action" ribbon? What about some kids throwing rocks at our cars? How many American motorists would qualify retroactively for military medals and ribbons if given a chance to file a claim?
