A Vindictive Valentine
This is my ORIGINAL vindictive valentine for all the cynical, lonely people out there. Rock on dudes!!!
To Whom It May Concern:
Here is a poem. Happy Valentines Day!
I hope you enjoy it, while you read what I say.
This holiday's stupid and society's to blame,
Because every year it's exactly the same.
Women get flowers that will wither and die.
The "love in the air" is really cyanide.
Cards are just paper with a few cheesy words.
Love songs sound painful, like ten strangled birds.
Cupid is Satan in a sweet, little form.
The wings are distractions so we won't notice the horns.
Love at first sight is such a cliché.
Maybe you should walk...no...RUN the other way.
All the frogs that I've kissed have turned out to be toads.
I wish candlelight dinners would somehow explode.
Oh, thanks for the heart, lace trimmed and red.
I wish that I'd gotten something useful instead.
That's so adorable! A stuffed teddy bear?
Don't mind me puking in the gift box over there.
Dancing under moonlight must be like heaven
Cause that's where you're going. Look, Armageddon!
Diamonds, in the end, are just shiny stones.
They won't give you warm fuzzies when you're sad and alone.
That smile on your face from getting engaged
Will later be replaced with the fires of rage.
And we can't forget what's important in life.
A super rich husband or a totally hot wife.
Love is just chemicals that mess with your brain.
It makes you act foolish and drives you insane.
Love is a game where the players all lose.
You cheat, lie and try, but your heart ends up bruised.
Yes, it's annoying to hear someone complain.
You know what? Go ahead. Throw your money down the drain.
I admit I'm a cynic. I hope you're not pissed.
If you are, I don't care. Go jump off a cliff.
And now, once again, I just want to say,
I hope you have a Happy...oh screw it...I hate Valentines Day!

VINDICTIVE SNEAKY COW (nineth entry)

There should be a manual for how to handle the boss's wife. I try to massage her every once in a while, reassure her of his love in a way that's neither obvious nor over the top. So imagine my disappointment when she insists I have dinner with her on the very night I was supposed to see Katherine, my temp crush. But since her request was more demand than invite, I accepted and prepared myself for a frustrating evening spent again reassuring her of her position. But, it turns out that the dinner was less about her than it was about me.
She thinks I haven't been straight with her. I haven't given her the truth. I told her that the truth is irrelevant. All she needs to know is what she knows, not what she doesn't. She just smiled and said if I didn't come straight with her right now, she'd reveal something that she knows about me. Something I told her in a weak moment. Something I don't want anyone to know. (And, no, sorry folks I'm not revealing it to anyone else.) It's blackmail. But, she's a woman obsessed. Maniacal. Following him, apparently. Even online.
I asked her how she got so computer savvy. Apparently she knew enough to create her own blog and an e-mail account, NEED2NO@iol-mail.com. From there she met someone who helped her get on her husband's e-mail. And that gave her full access to his perfect world full of perfect strangers. She even knew about FastFilly and how FastFilly had stalked her at her gallery. She said, at one point, she'd even had sex with FastFilly disguised as her husband. That was twisted enough to get my attention. What a vindictive sneaky cow.
I was completely turned on and began to see her in a different light, that is, until she asked me to get rid of Veronica. As if I could...as if I wanted to...It's funny how both she and her husband expect me to handle all of their problems.

Sarah Palin was vindictive, hired friends/donors in Alaska
Palin appointed friends and donors to key posts in Alaska, records show 100-plus jobs went to campaign donors or their relatives, sometimes without apparent regard to qualifications. Several donors got state-subsidized loans for business ventures of dubious public value...her approach to government was business as usual. Take, for example, the tradition of patronage. Some of Palin's most controversial appointments involved donors, records show.
Among The Times' findings:
* More than 100 appointments to state posts -- nearly 1 in 4 -- went to campaign contributors or their relatives, sometimes without apparent regard to qualifications.
* Palin filled 16 state offices with appointees from families that donated $2,000 to $5,600 and were among her top political patrons.
* Several of Palin's leading campaign donors received state-subsidized industrial development loans of up to $3.6 million for business ventures of questionable public value.
* Palin picked a donor to replace the public safety commissioner she fired. But the new top cop had to resign days later under an ethics cloud. And Palin drew a formal ethics complaint still pending against her and several aides for allegedly helping another donor and fundraiser land a state job.
Most new governors install friends and supporters in state jobs. But Alaska historians say some of Palin's appointees were less qualified than those of her Republican and Democratic predecessors.
University of Alaska historian Steve Haycox said Palin has been a reformer. But he said she has a penchant for placing supporters, many of them ill-prepared, in high posts. He called it "cronyism" far beyond what previous governors have done and a contradiction of her high-minded philosophy.
Terrence Cole, an Alaska political historian, said Palin had in some cases shown "a disrespect for experience."
Administration officials disputed such criticism. They said campaign contributions were not a factor in state appointments. Frank Bailey, the state's directorof boards and commissions, in speaking for Palin, who was not available to answer inquiries from The Times, said, "We are always seeking the best-qualified folks."
In a little-noted sequel to Palin's controversial dismissal of her public safety commissioner, the governor replaced Walt Monegan with former small-town Police Chief Charles Kopp of Kenai. The appointment unraveled almost immediately in what Cole called a vetting catastrophe.
A previous sexual harassment complaint came to light and Kopp had to resign two weeks after taking over. Alaska paid him $10,000 in severance.
After another of Palin's campaign donors and fundraisers landed a civil service job with the state department of transportation, GOP activist Andree McLeod filed an ethics complaint against the governor and several aides, alleging that improper pressure was used to help Tom Lamal.
Lamal, a public school teacher in Fairbanks until he retired in 2006, was hired as a right-of-way agent despite reports of internal conflicts over whether he was qualified under state law.
E-mail messages between Palin aides, obtained by McLeod under the state public records act, indicate that the hiring was pushed "through the roadblocks" by a deputy to one of Palin's appointees. And Palin aide Bailey sent Lamal a congratulatory note saying, in part, "Well now your foot's back in the door and maybe we can tap you for other things."
