History of the term Vlach
Also called Vallachians, Wallachians, Wlachs, Wallachs, Vlahs, Olahs or Ulahs; (Albanian: Vllenjë,Vllehë; Czech: Valaši; Greek: Βλάχοι Vláhi; Polish: Wołosi; South Slavic: Власи Vlasi; Turkish: Ulahlar; Ukrainian: Волохи Volokhy). Groups that have historically been called Vlachs include: modern-day Romanians, Aromanians, Morlachs, Megleno-Romanians and Istro-Romanians. Since the creation of the Romanian state, the term in English has mostly been used for those living outside Romania.

the theory of continuity says that romanised dacians lived on after 271 on both banks of the Danube.however,only the continuity south of the danube can be sustained without any doubt. vlach is an exonym, and was given by slavs to the romance spoking peoples.so,the only thing that identify a vlach origin is his areal.so,vlachs from balkan mountains were dacians followers,vlachs from south of balkans -rest of the tracians and vlachs from ylliria areal -yllirians
