The Sacred War - Священная война - Svyaschennaya voina
The Sacred War (Священная война - Svyaschennaya voina - La guerra sagrada) is an inspirational song famously performed by the Alexander Vasilyevich Alexandrov (Алекса́ндр Васи́льевич Алекса́ндров or А.В. Александрова.) Red Army Choir ("Дважды Краснознамённый ордена Красной Звезды академический ансамбль песни и пляски Советской армии имени А.В.Александрова" or "Ансамбль Александрова") that motivated millions of Soviet soldiers to surge forward in the titanic struggle against the German Wehrmacht and satellite armies during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).
This clip is taken from the 1985 Soviet movie "Битва за Москву" (Bitva za Moskvu, Boj o Moskvu).

The Voina live-installation at the "Common space" exhibition in Kiev
On February 10 at 11 am the Voina group erected a live-installation of the Moscow metro action PIR on all three lines of the Kiev subway.
The "Common space" exhibition, a curatorial project of the R.E.P. group, opened on the Arsenalnaya square on February 6 as a freight shipping container featuring documentations of actions by Russian and Ukrainian artists.
Two days later, on February 8, the container was promptly blacked out and evacuated following a decree by the municipal council of the city of Kiev, which marked the contents of the artists's work as prostitution, pornography and not too much religion.
Organizers of the "Common space" exhibition were set to illustrate democratization by displaying artists's initiatives which intervene and re-work public space.
An sample of such an intervention was the displayed video of the PIR action -- a memorial to the conceptual poet Dmitry Alexandrovich Prigov -- which was held by Voina in the midnight Moscow metro on August 24 2007. See -http://accidentalrussophile.blogspot.com/2007/09/wake-of-dmitri-prigov.html.
In Kiev members of the Voina decided to leave the public out of the collision between artists and local bureaucrats -- the action was demonstrated as a live-installation in the Sunday mourning metro, where artists and the public joined together in a PIR (FEAST).

Tomorrow War Space Sim (Zavtra Voina)
Russian spacegame by 1C and Crioland. After all these years it is once again possible to land on and takeoff from planets realtime, without loadingscreens or cutscenes, just like Elite Frontier. Diehard spacesim fans know what I'm talking about. Now, if only they would release an English version... the Russian language seems alien to me. It's a brilliant game engine, thank you Crioland.
