Memoria del Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín. Poema del surafricano Zolani Mkiva (con subtítulos en castellano) que apologiza la resistencia de Nelson Mandela contra el Apartheid y la justa lucha de liberación del pueblo surafricano.Zolani Mkiva es el coordinador del programa Izimbongi ZaseMzansi de Poetry Africa. Alcanzó preeminencia en 1990 siendo un joven Imbongi y fue bienvenido en la casa de Nelson Mandela, el héroe de la lucha antiapartheid en Suráfrica, tomando parte como cantante en su posesión como mandatario. Mkiva, poeta laureado, se apoya en las tradiciones de su pueblo y ha sido catalogado como poeta de la nación Imbongi.

UBUNTU zolani & friends Music Video
Ubuntu is a truly southafrican Term. Let's translate it to "the spirit of togetherness". The video was shot in Johannesburg by camera13 for His Royal Heritage, Zolani Mkiva.
The video was produced to congratulate South Africa's Heritage Day, the 24th of September.
Although the clip is shortened it features some traditional clothing, highlighting the diversity within the nation. The refrain of the song is done in various southafrican languages.
Ubuntu & Friends is built around a traditional song of the Khoisans.

The team would like to thank the woman who opened her door in the middle of the night. Not always a good idea in Johannesburg.
Our generator stopped and we saw our chances fading to finish the video in time for broadcasters deadline.

Madala Kunene & Friends
Madala Kunene, from Cato Manor outside Durban, is one of South Africa's most expressive guitarists. Kunzima, from MELT 2000's Acoustic Africa DVD (MZADV002), features Mabi Gabriel Thobejane, who performs with Juno Reactor and is considered to be one of the top drummers in Africa.
The two are also introduced by the Poet of Africa, Zolani Mkiva.
